In a recent mortgage rate survey conducted for the St. Petersburg Times by Bankrate.com, AAXA Discount Mortgage led the field of twenty-two mortgage companies with the lowest rate and APR offering for the 30 year fixed rate jumbo mortgage. AAXA’s advertised rate of 6.00% with zero points was an eighth to the rate better than that of Bayview Home Mortgage. AAXA also had the third lowest APR for the conforming 30 year fixed rate mortgage category. The company offered a rate of 5.63% with .13 discount points. The competing companies that edged out AAXA were both offering rates with two full points.
